CWA's VERIZON WIRELESS RALLY at 1095
8/27/03
WE WANT
JUSTICE at
VERIZON
WIRELESS!
52 Verizon Wireless Workers have been negotiating since late June in an effort to get a new contract.  Management stalled at the bargaining table all summer until the old contract expired August 1.  Now, even as the unionized wireless workers stay on the job without a contract, Verizon refuses to negotiate fairly!

The anti-union campaign Verizon runs in all of its wireless workplaces is designed to intimidate workers and discourage them from fighting for justice on the job

BUT THAT WON'T STOP CWA!
The 120,000 UNIONIZED Workers of Verizon Communications STand Beside Wireless Workers as They Negotiate Their Contract, and We Call on Verizon to Respect the Union:

WIRELESS WORKERS NEED A CONTRACT NOW!

CWA Members Rallied & Leafleted in front of  the
Verizon Wireless Store at Verizon Headquarters.
Is that Ivan wearing the red hat?
What gives? Why the heck are they closed? They must be really afraid of CWA to close the store 31/2 hours early, what are they so afraid of?
Hmmm, is there something they don't want their employees to know?
The group gathers in front of the closed Verizon
Wireless store. Nice of Verizon to give us the space.
